COMPLIANCE

The CPA is committed to maintaining the highest quality consumer credit data submitted by its members and held at the CPA Associate Member Credit Bureaux. In order to achieve this goal, the CPA and the Credit Bureaux Association (This is the bureaux representative body) entered into a Service Level Agreement.

The SLA governs all aspects of data submission and data quality and is equally applicable to the CPA and the CBA.

The CPA as an association tasked with monitoring and managing the quality of payment profile submissions on behalf of its members, is responsible for ensuring payment profile information is submitted by its members to the four Associate member bureaux within a predetermined time period and in a predetermined data format known as the Format 700.

The CBA as an association representing credit bureaux in South Africa, is tasked with ensuring data submitted by CPA members to Associate member credit bureaux, is loaded within the agreed time frame, is accepted only in the agreed format and that stringent data quality checks are performed in all instances.

Specific data quality exception reporting forms part of the SLA with each Associate member bureaux providing feedback to the CPA on every members submission every month.

The Service Level Agreement signed by both parties i.e. the CBA and the CPA is available to download for information purposes.
